quilt swatches dish - blue + tan
white glaze with 4 squares of color in the center
4 colors are aqua/teal, lighter blue/green, rusty tan, and sandy tan
wheel-thrown with brown speckle clay
medium serving dish or can be used as a catchall on a coffee table
approximate size: 9” wide, 1.5” tall
dishwasher and microwave safe
I am very excited about what I am calling “quilt swatches”. This line of pots are inspired by my background in textiles and are to be reminiscent of choosing fabrics for a quilt — laying pieces of fabric next to one another to see how they look. I love that stage of any sewing project and am very happy that I’ve been able to translate this idea to my pottery.
